Heat
The Sauna Hat
Wool felt, keeps ears warm and hair off your neck. Won't scorch under high heat.
Spa · Sauna · Cold Plunge Goods
Badstu makes the hats, robes and towels built for the whole cycle — sweat it out, then plunge in. Natural fibers, honest stitching, made to get wet, worn, and warm again.
Why we make it
Hot to cold and back again — the goods that carry you through it shouldn’t be an afterthought. Every hat, robe and towel is built for wet hands, bare feet, and the walk between the heat and the plunge.
The collection
Each one built for a specific moment in the cycle — from stepping into the heat to wringing out after the cold.
Heat
Wool felt, keeps ears warm and hair off your neck. Won't scorch under high heat.
Rest
Heavyweight cotton terry, belted, embroidered with the “B” mark at the chest.
Rest
Dense loop terry that actually dries you, corner-stitched with the monogram.
Plunge
Water-resistant shell, fleece-lined — for stepping out wet and cold, not dry and warm.
The set
The hat, the robe, the towel and the plunge shell aren’t a range to pick from — they’re a kit. Each hands off to the next: felt for the heat, terry for the bench, shell for the shock, terry again to dry. Nothing spare, nothing missing.
The ritual
Three moves, on repeat. Every piece belongs to one of them — so you can kit out by how you actually use the room.
Step into the löyly and stay. Felt keeps your head in the game while the room does its work.
Break the heat with cold water and colder air. The shell is what you reach for coming out.
Wring out, wrap up, sit down. Heavy terry holds the warmth for the walk back to do it again.
Materials
No synthetic brights. Every tone here is a fiber you’d actually find in a bathhouse.
Material 01
Dense pressed wool that shrugs off dry heat and holds its shape round after round. It insulates your scalp so the room can climb without your head paying for it — the reason banya-goers have worn felt for a century.
Material 02
Long-loop combed cotton, woven heavy. It drinks water instead of smearing it, and the pile only gets softer as it's washed. The same cloth carries the robe and the towel — one honest fiber, two jobs.
Material 03
A water-resistant outer over a warm brushed lining, built for the worst minute of the ritual: soaking, shivering, fingers gone. Throw it on straight out of the plunge and it does its job wet.

The wringing-out moment
Every plunge ends the same way — hands numb, towel soaked, wringing it out before you can even feel your fingers again. That’s the moment we design for.
